September 2017, CPI Combined Lampung index rose from 130.89 in August 2017 to 131.19 in September 2017, thus inflation of 0.23 percent.
Based on the September 2017 calendar point to point rate of 2.25 percent, and year on year inflation (yoy) in September 2017 is 3.85 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, ie the processed food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group experienced inflation (up by 0.02 percent); housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.15 percent; clothing group by 0.30 percent; education, recreation and sports groups of 4.75 percent; and the transport, communication and financial services group by 0.06 percent. Conversely the foodstuff category experienced deflation (down by 0.69 percent); and the health group by 0.21 percent.
Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in September 2017, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation of 0.25 percent, and Metro inflation by 0.10 percent.
Bandar Lampung City Inflation is ranked 22nd and Metro City ranked 39th, out of 82 cities observed for its price growth. Out of 82 cities, 50 CPI cities experienced inflation and 32 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tual at 1.59 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Mamuju by 0.01 percent. In contrast, Manado's highest deflation was 1.04 percent, and the lowest was in Tembilahan at 0.01 percent.
The education, recreation and sports groups contributed the highest inflation, which was 0.34 percent. The subgroup that became the highest inflation contributor in September 2017 was a sub-group of education services of 0.34 percent.
